We start off this Safari in the greater Kruger National Park giving you the feel of a privately owned lodge surrounded by no fences and then move over to the worlds famous Kruger National Park. First visiting the Panorama Route along the way. The Mpumalanga area is one of great contrast, bordered in the west by the towering escarpment, with lush indigenous forests, crystal-clear streams and plunging waterfalls, and then falling away into the flat Lowveld bushveld, home to one of the richest diversities of fauna and flora in the world
Balule Game Reserve
Balule Game Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger Park, an open conserved area of approximately 7,000,000 acres or 23,000 km², along the Olifants River. The reserve is only an hour's drive from two of the main gates to the Kruger National Park.

Route
The Panorama Route is a scenic road in South Africa connecting several cultural and natural points of interest. The route, steeped in the history of South Africa, is in Mpumalanga province, centred around the Blyde River Canyon, the world's third largest canyon.

Safari At a Glance
Johannesburg - Private Game Lodge
Departing from Johannesburg at 06h30, we set off on the scenic road to the north east of the country where we encounter beautiful natural scenery. Lunch is enjoyed in the historic town of Haenertsburg. The next two nights we get cosy at Imagine Africa’s Tented Lodge situated in a private reserve within the greater Kruger National Park.

Day 1
Private Game Reserve
After peaceful nights rest we start with an early riser light breakfast of fresh coffee and rusks, before embarking on our morning experience within this Big 5 area. Late afternoon an open game drive is in order. As dusk approaches we pull over and enjoy a sundowner drink or two, while watching the magnificent sunset over the African bushveld. We return to the lodge for a welcoming dinner

Day 2
Panorama Route - Kruger Park
Rising with the African sun, a hearty breakfast is enjoyed, before setting off to explore the highlights of the Panorama Route. An own expense lunch is enjoyed giving guests the opportunity to meet the locals. We make our way into the Southern Section of the Kruger National Park and the Skukuza Safari Lodge which is home for the next two nights.

Day 3
Kruger National Park
Waking with the birds, we depart the lodge at sunrise on an exhilarating day of game viewing. We will stop off at a picnic area for a sumptuous breakfast which has been prepacked by the lodge. Most of the day will be spent game viewing, while stopping at various designated sites to stretch our legs. A night safari departs at 20h00pm

Day 4
Kruger National Park - Johannesburg
After a relaxed breakfast, we depart the Kruger National Park and make our way back to Johannesburg driving through Banana Plantations, Citrus Orchards and on to the N4 toll route. The tour will conclude late afternoon, on arrival at the hotel in Johannesburg or at O R Tambo airport.
