Shingwedzi restcamp is tucked away peacefully in a quiet clearing along the banks of the Shingwedzi River where this comfortable camp makes its home, affording visitors a secluded and relaxing experience.
Straddling the lines of rugged and luxurious, this camp is ensconced in the mopane trees. Guests can get lost in amongst the mustard trees, Natal mahogany and native sausage trees. Apple leaf and Mopani shrub populate the area, making it extremly green and lush. Accommodation at Shingwedzi restcamp include bungalows with air-conditioning.
Guests can expect to have a close encounter with herds of grazers in this area, particularly recognised are the elephants, vervet monkeys and baboon populations as well as the big cats and wild dog packs. A wide variety of bird species for the enthusiastic spotter can be found where hornbills, weavers, starlings and Mourning Doves as well as Giant Eagle Owl will leave you in awe.
